Chicken Divan (Grandma Neet)

2 bunches fresh broccoli, lightly steamed
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
3 chicken breasts, cooked and thinly sliced

1. Melt butter and blend in flour. Add chicken broth. Cook and stir until thick. Add whipping cream, salt and a dash of pepper.

2. Place broccoli crosswise in 9x13 baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over. Top with chicken slices.

3. To remaining sauce, add parmesan cheese; pour over chicken. Sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese.

4. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until hot throughout. Then broil just until sauce is golden (Serves 6-8)
