Carrots Lyonnaise - Mom (Lion House)

These are Loren's favorite! Grandma Neet would always make these for him!

6 medium carrots
1 chicken bouillon cube dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water
1/4 cup butter
3 medium onions, sliced
1 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp salt
dash pepper
3/4 cup water

1. Pare carrots and cut in julienne strips (lengthwise cuts) Cook carrots in bouillon, covered 10 minutes.

2. Melt butter; add onions and cook, covered 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in next 4 ingredients; bring to boiling.

3. Add carrots and stock. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Add pinch of sugar.
