Grandma’s To-Die-For Rolls – Becky Sowards

½ cup warm water
2 T active dry yeast
2 T sugar

Mix together. Let stand 5 minutes before adding to the following.

1 can evaporated milk plus enough water to equal 2 cups (warm)
½ cup canola oil
½ cup sugar
¾ cup potato flakes
4 eggs
2 tsp salt
6 cups +/_ flour

Add all ingredients and mix 5 minutes in kitchen aid with dough hook. Keep adding flour until dough pulls from bowl and isn’t too sticky to work with. Allow to rise until double in oiled bowl. Punch down and shape. Allow to rise again and bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes. 

For cinnamon rolls, increase sugar to ¾ up and add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp lemon extract (if desired)
