Apricot Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup shortening

Cream together, then add:

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 egg

Mix in separate bowl:

1 1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

Sift and add slowly to wet mix.

Add 1 cup oats

Scoop dough onto cookie sheet (ball shape). Make small dent with thumb. Add 1/2 tsp apricot jam. Bake 350° for 9-13 minutes. Cool 1 min. Remove from cookie sheet.

Melt:

1 cup white chips with 2 Tbsp shortening. 

Drizzle back and forth over cookies.
