Raisin Bran Muffins (Keeps 5-6 weeks refrigerated) - Nostalgic, from my teen years

 1/4 cup oil

1 1/2 cups sugar

5 tsp baking soda 

2 eggs

5 cups flour

2 cups kellogg's All Bran

2 cups Nabisco 100% Bran

2 cups oatmeal

2 cups boiling water

1/2 tsp salt

1 qt. buttermilk

raisins


Pour boiling water over 100% Bran

Let stand while mix oil and sugar

Add eggs and buttermilk

Add both brans and oatmeal

sift flour, salt and soda togetrher

Add to mixture along with raisins

Bake 15-18 minutes at 400 degrees
