2-4 cups cherries
(+ or -) 1 cup sugar
3-4 T tapioca
1/4 tsp almond extract
2 drops red food coloring

Mix together and let stand 15 minutes. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Let boil 1-2 min more. Pour into an unbaked pie shell (lattice top optional). Bake 15 min at 450
