Jodi basically makes the Perfectly Perfect Chocolate Cake, but substitutes the boiling water with buttermilk....
She puts chocolate mousse between layers along with this Fresh Raspberry Compote: https://shanissweetart.com/recipe/raspberry-cake-filling-recipe/
And tops with this ganache:
1c semi sweet chocolate chips1 tsp vanilla
1c whipping cream
Place chocolate and vanilla in bowl, simmer 1/2C cream add
hot cream to the chocolate. Mix until chocolate is melted and smooth. cool to room temp.(if I'm in a hurry I put it in the fridge)
Beat the other 1/2c cream until soft peaks form. Fold cream
into chocolate. Set up in fridge. Works great to make the day ahead.
